We have prepared fresh fruits for you to taste, such as durian, mango, pineapples, and tamarind, which have been imported directly from Thailand. You could also experience first-hand Thai silks with the Royal Peacock Logo, bestowed by H.M. Queen Sirikit, which represent the best of Thai silk.

    On 31 August 2016, H.E. Dr. Pornchai Danvivathana, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of South Africa, hosted a luncheon in honour of Dr. Rose Jaela Ndlovu, recipient of the Princess Srinagarindra Award in the year 2015. The luncheon was attended by the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, as well as Ambassadors from various African countries accredited to South Africa.

    During 20 – 21 August 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria arranged a mobile consular service in Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. On this occasion, the Embassy delivered consular services to more than 100 Thai nationals such as passport application, legalisation, birth registration and general consultation.

    Following a series of explosions in public areas in certain provinces during 11 – 12 August 2016 leaving 4 people dead and 34 injured, the Royal Thai Government expresses its profound regrets for the incidents. It condemns the perpetrators of the crimes and sends heart-felt condolences to families that have lost their loved ones and those who have been wounded. The government has instructed relevant agencies to assist, facilitate and compensate tourists who have been affected by the incidents.
