On Saturday, 1 November 2008, H.E. Ambassador Poksak Nilubol presided over the Royal Kathin Ceremony at Verugaram temple in Kandal province. Many Thai and Cambodian nationals participated in the ceremony.
On Friday 26th September 2008, H.E. Dr. Viraphand Vacharathit had travelled to the province of Koh Kong and attend the openning ceremony of the Sufficient Economy Village at Khum Peam Krasob, Mondholdsema district. The ceremony were co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Yuth Phou Thang, Governor of Koh Kong, and H.E. Mr. Somsak Yonokphan, Deputy Governor of Trat. The village has been selected by the Thai and Cambodian side for the economic and social development.
