  • Thai Festival "Hola Tailandia 2018" at Arc de Triomf in Barcelona New
    Thai Festival "Hola Tailandia 2018" at Arc de Triomf in Barcelona On 13 May 2018, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain presided over the opening ceremony of the Thai Festival "Hola Tailandia 2018" at Arc de Triomf in Barcelona. This event was co-organized by the Embassy and the Asociacion Amigos de Tailandia Samakkhi, with an aim to promote Thai cultural in Spain through various activities such as Thai cultural performances, Thai food and Muay Thai. On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador gave fund for an amount of 50,000 bahts to Mrs. Sareeya Chaeamchoi, the President of the Asociacion to support the works of the Association in helping Thai people and Consular Affairs in the Year 2018.
  • Mobile Consular Service in Estepona, Malaga Province, Andalucia Region of Spain
    On 22 April 2018, the 1st Mobile Consular Service in 2018 was held at Top Thai Beach Restaurant in Estepona, Malaga Province, Andalucia Region. Miss Natenapa Kongsri, Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, led the officials from consular affairs section to provide consular services to Thai citizens such as receiving applications for Thai passports, registration of Thai citizens in Spain as well as giving advices and consultation to the Thai community and their family members. There were about 50 participants in this event. The Minister took this opportunity to meet the Thai community to strengthen close tie with Thai citizens in Malaga Province.
  • Thailand promotes Halal potentials at Alimentaria 2018
    The Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, led 8 Thai companies, specialized in Halal products, to exhibit in Alimentaria 2018 in Barcelona during 16 – 18 April 2018. Participating Thai companies ranged from processed Thai fruits and juice, jasmine rice, to cereal products, all certified with Halal. Furthermore, a Thai delegate, Dr. Winai Dahlan, Director of Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University, participated in the Halal Congress at Alimentaria. The Thai delegation also held bilateral meeting with members of the Halal Institute of Cordoba with an aim to enhance cooperation on the promotion of Halal in Spain and Thailand. The participation in the said event is Thailand’s effort to establish a channel and firm stand in European Halal market. Thailand is one of the leading Halal Food Producers with strength in the abundant agricultural raw materials for Halal production. Thailand is also internationally accepted for food safety guaranteed by CODEX standards and is renowned for scientific research to support the Halal Certification. At present Thailand ranks 10th among the world’s largest Halal food exporters to OIC countries; and the Thai government aims at promoting the country to be one of the top five exporters of Halal products and service within the next five years. In addition to Halal food products, Thailand is proud to promote Halal tourism, which, according to the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2016, Thailand was ranked 2nd as the top non-OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) most popular destination.
  • Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid participated in Bazar Kermes Diplomatico 2018
    On 15 April 2018, Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid together with Team Thailand in Madrid participated in Bazar Kermes Diplomatico 2018, organized by Association of Foreign Diplomats in Spain (AIDE) at Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid. On this occasion, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of the Kingdom of Spain, Honorary President of AIDE, graciously presided over the event. There were about 44 embassies participating in this event. AIDE will donate the income after expense deduction to Reina Sofia Foundation, under the Queen
