  • Ambassador of Thailand to Spain paid courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra
    On Thursday 10 August 2017 Her Excellency Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Maria Ubach, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Andorra. In this occasion, Her Excellency Ambassador of Thailand congratulated Her Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs on her assumption to office and pledged Thailand's commitment to promote further relations with Andorra, particularly in the field of trade and investment, culture, and medical tourism. Ambassador of Thailand also updated each other on current political and economic developments in Thailand and Andorra. As well, both sides discussed and exchanged views on current global and regional situations.
  • Ambassador hosted dinner in honour of Minister of Labour
    On 13 July 2017, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain hosted dinner in honour of General Sirichai Distakul, Minister of Labour of Thailand and the high-level delegation from Ministry of Labour of Thailand during their visit to study Spain’s good practices in promoting safety and occupational health for workers.
  • Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) and the Assumption of new Chairmanship
    On 11 July 2017, the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) held a meeting to review activities and projects aimed towards cooperation with Spain and discussed plan of action of the Committee in the next 6 months. The Committee also exchanged information of the recent cooperation between ASEAN and EU. At the end of the meeting, the Chairmanship of ACM was transferred from Her Excellency Ambassador of Indonesia to His Excellency Ambassador of Malaysia who will be Chair during July – December 2017. On this occasion, the Committee expressed its high appreciation to Her Excellency Ambassador of Indonesia for her tirelessly devotion as chair the ACM throughout her 1 year Chairmanship.
  • The Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid in collaboration with ASEAN Committee in Madrid organized ASEAN Business Forum at Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza
    On 4 July 2017, the ASEAN Ambassadors to Spain paid courtesy call on Mr. Pedro Santisteve, Mayor of Zaragoza at Town Hall on the occasion that the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM), in collaboration with Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza, organized an ASEAN Business Forum on "Trade and Investment Opportunities in ASEAN" with an aim to raise awareness on ASEAN on the occasion of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN and the 40th anniversary of the ASEAN-EU relations. There were about 50 participants from public and private sectors in Zaragoza. The ASEAN Ambassadors briefed the meeting on the investment promotion policies of each countries and business opportunity for Spanish business sector to invest more in the region. In this regard, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain thanked the proactive initiative of the Chamber of Zaragoza in organizing a trade mission to Thailand last year and encouraged that more Zaragoza private sectors to explore the vast opportunities in Thailand. H.E. the Ambassador delivered the information focusing on Thailand's key policies and projects which include Thailand 4.0, digital economy, the development on Eastern Economic Corridor, along with BOI's incentives for foreign investment. Apart from that, she invited the Spanish companies to also consider using Thailand's linkage location in setting up International Headquarter or International Trading Center in Thailand. The one-on-one meeting after the Forum was also drew much interest for Spanish business sector.
