Adoption of a Thai Child

A British who resides in the United Kingdom and wishes to adopt a Thai child (whether s/he is an orphan, a child of one’s Thai spouse from previous marriage, or a relative of one’s Thai spouse), should submit an adoption request to the Department for Education (for Great Britain) or the Department of Health (for Northern Ireland), which are the main authorities dealing with international adoption. Through these departments, your request will be forwarded to the Child Adoption Centre, Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in Thailand.
