Non-immigrant visa "O" : Non-immigrant visa "O"

Non-Immigrant Visa Type “O” may be granted to applicants who meet one of the following requirements:
        (1)  Applicants who are lawfully married to a Thai citizen
        (2)  Dependents of a foreigner currently working or studying full-time in Thailand
        (3) Volunteers or applicants who work for a non-governmental organization (NGO)

Types of Visa and Validity:

- Single-Entry: valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Visa holders may contact the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, after entering Thailand, for the extension of stay and re-entry permit.

- Multiple-Entry (only for the spouse of a Thai citizen): valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

 

Required Documents:

1. Visa Application form(s) and photograph(s): Completed and signed Visa Application form and 2 recent photograph(s) (size 3.5x4.5 cm). Non-Indonesian applicants may be required to submit more than one set of application form. (See: Additional Requirements for Non-Indonesian Applicants)

2. Passport (no less than 6 months validity for Single-Entry visa and no less than 1 year validity for Multiple-Entry visa)

3.  Supporting documents

     3.1   For family member of a Thai Citizen (spouse/children)

            3.1.1   Copy of Marriage Certificate for spouse or Birth Certificate for children

            3.1.2   Copy of passport and ID card of the Thai spouse

                       (All copies must be signed by the Thai spouse)

            3.1.3   Sponsorship letter from the Thai spouse

            3.1.4   Applicant’s bank statement showing at least THB 400,000 or equivalent in other currencies for the past two months

     3.2   For dependents

            3.2.1   Proofs of family relationship i.e. Copy of Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate

            3.2.2   Copy of passport and stay permit or visa of the foreigner currently working or studying in Thailand

            3.2.3   Copy of the work permit of the foreigner currently working in Thailand (if applicable)

            3.2.4   Letter of certification from the educational institution or employer in Thailand

     3.3   For volunteers or NGO officers

            3.3.1   Letter of certification from the organization in Thailand indicating purpose of the volunteer/work programme, nature of the work, and exact period of stay in Thailand, coupled with a copy of ID card or passport of the authorized person who signed the letter.

            3.3.2   Sponsorship letter from the organization in Indonesia (if applicable)

            3.3.3   Copy of the organization’s registration

            3.3.4   Summary of the organization’s profile

4. Application fee (Cash only in Indonesian Rupiah - Non-refundable):

            - Single-Entry Visa: IDR 1,120,000

            - Multiple-Entry Visa: IDR 2,800,000
 

Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents, or an interview with the applicant, as deemed necessary, without prior notice.

The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to refuse visa to applicant with insufficient documents or if the reasons given are not fully supported. The visa fee is non-refundable.
