Additional documents required for citizens from some certain countries
 
Citizens from the following countries can apply for visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City if they have residence in Vietnam or meet certain conditions. 
If not, applicants must apply for visa in their home countries.
 
Having residence in Vietnam

Special conditions:
Nepalese citizens who do not have the residence in Vietnam may be able to apply for visa if they can provide the guarantee letter from Nepalese Embassy/ Consulate/ Honorary Consulate or Thai-Nepal Chamber of Commerce. 
 
Additional document required :
1. Three passport-sized photo (4x6 cm) taken within 6 months, size 4x6 cm.
2. Temporary/Permanent Residence Card in Vietnam with validity not less than 6 months. 
3. Confirmed round-trip ticket or confirmed ticket showing a transit in Thailand.
4. Confirmed booking of accomodation with the name of applicant and the date matching with the aforementioned       traveling ticket. 
5. Confirmation letter from the company where the applicant is working with the signature of authorized person and     the legal stamp of the company.
6. Evidence of adequate finance (equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)
 
For Applicants from Nigeria
- If applicant has a residence in the African continent, he/she must apply at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria only. NLDA documents are required.
- If applicant has a residence outside of the African continent, he/she may apply at the Royal Thai Embassy/Royal Thai Consulate where he/she has residence (provided that the residence has been legalized by the residing authority). Documents include residence permit/work permit/educational certificate. NLDA documents must be submitted (legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigera and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria.
- All documents must be fully completed and submitted.
- For Nigerians who intend to marry Thai women, the following documents must be submitted - (1) Original copy of Affirmation of Freedom to Marry (issued by Nigerian authority). (2) Original NLDA document (3) Documents 1 & 2 must be certified by the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja. (4) Copy of passport and ID card certified by the Nigerian Embassy in Thailand. (5) Affadavit issued by the Nigerian Embassy in Thailand.

For Applicants from Central Africa, Cameroon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Ghana, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan
- If applicant has residence in the African continent, he/she must apply at the Royal Thai Embassy according to his/her nationality or the Embassy's jurisdiction.
- If applicant has a residence outside of the African continent, he/she may apply at the Royal Thai Embassy/Royal Thai Consulate where he/she has residence (provided that the residence has been legalized by the residing authority).
- All documents must be fully completed and submitted.

For Applicants from Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chad, Cote D'ivoire, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Rawanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Gabon, Comoros, Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, South Sudan
- If applicant has a residence in the country he is residing, he/she may apply at the Royal Thai Embassy/Royal Thai Consulate where he/she has residence (provided that the residence has been legalized by the residing authority).
- All documents must be fully completed and submitted.
