New Qatar Cabinet - Update as of 1 May 2009 

The Emir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, issued yesterday Emiri order No. (1) of 2008 reshuffling the Cabinet. The order stipulates that the Cabinet shall be reshuffled as follows:

1. H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani: Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

2. H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry.

3. H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Thani: Minister of Interior.

4. H E Sheikh Mohammad bin Khalid Al Thani: Minister of State and Cabinet member.

5. H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet member.

6. H E Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Marri: Minister of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs.

7. H E Youssuf Hussein Kamal: Minister of Economy and Finance.

8. H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem: Minister of Justice.

9. Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud: Minister of Education and Higher Education (appointed 28 April 2009)

10. H E Dr Sultan bin Hassan Al Dhabet Al Dossari: Minister of Labour.

11. H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani: Minister of State for Interior Affairs and Cabinet member.

12. H E Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani: Minister of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning.

13. H. E. Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al Saddah : Minister of State for Energy and Industry Affairs and cabinet member.

14. H .E.  Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani: Minister of Public Health (appointed 28 April 2009)

15. H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari: Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage.

16. H E Sheikh Fahd bin Jassem bin Mohammad Al Abdurrahman Al Thani: Minister of Business and Trade.

17. H E Sheikh Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani: Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Cabinet member.

18. H E Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aaboud Al Midhadhi: Minister of Environment.

19. H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah: Minister of State for International Cooperation and Cabinet member.

20. H E Nasser bin Abdullah Al Hemaidi: Minister of Social Affairs.
