Top Stories : Muay Thai Master Classes in Hungary

On 12-16 June 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest together with the Muay Thai Boran Association of Thailand and Thai Boxing Academy of Hungary, initiated the Muay Thai Master classes for the Hungarian Muay Thai Trainers. The course was held under the concept of “Training the Trainers” and was organized in four different places which are the Thai Boxing Academy in Budapest, Miskolc, Monor, and Győr.

H.E. Mr. Jakkrit Srivali, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, delivered opening remarks for each of the Muay Thai Master Classes. Three representatives from the Muay Thai Boran Association of Thailand, Senior Grand Master Jarusdej Ulit, Mr.Thanee Homjampa, and Mrs. Sakowrat Homjampa, headed the Muay Thai Master Classes. The Royal Thai Embassy continuously promotes Muay Thai in Hungary as it is one important aspect of Thai culture. Furthermore, apart from cultural expansion, Muay Thai also promotes good health to the participants all around the world.

The highlight of the course was focused on the teaching of the correct movement used in the Wai Kru ceremony and the purpose of it. This Muay Thai course, was one of many cultural activities that the Royal Thai Embassy has been organizing to promote people-to-people relations with our friends around the world.
